font-family: Lato, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">During engineers week we had great student turnout for all competitions, social events, and the food drive. Overall we had 209 students attended competitions, 60 attended our industry forum, and donated a total of 3,586 food items to the Mahoning Valley Rescue Mission in Youngstown. Tuesday was a special night sponsored by Hynes Industries were graduating engineers were recongnized in the Order of the Engineer Ring Ceramony. At our industry forum on entry level engineering roles, 60+ students attended with 3 engineers participating on our panel from Hynes Industries, MS Consultants, and Ajax Tocco.\u00a0 At the end of the week, the Mechanical Engineering division defeated all other displines by over 100 points earning them the Engineers Cup for the second year in a row. baseline; color: #333333;\">To increase student excitment in STEM education opportunities the YSU Rayen School of Engineering Partnered with the Youngstown City School District STEAM program. Across three days more than 200 Youngstown City School District students in grades five through eight came to the university&nbsp; to view a variety of presentations put on by YSU engineering students. Presentations include the Penguin Baja Racing vehicle, concrete canoes that float, rockets that stand 6 feet tall and fly to 10,000 feet, 3D printed airplanes, combat Battle Bots and more.
